How we handle shopper photos, body data and your information.

This policy covers two groups: shoppers who use a MAAYLZY try-on on a retailer's storefront or in-store mirror, and retailers who sign up to use the platform. Where a retailer embeds MAAYLZY in their own store, the retailer decides why shoppers are offered a try-on, and MAAYLZY processes the data to deliver it.

To render a garment onto a shopper, MAAYLZY needs an image - an uploaded photo or a frame from a live camera or in-store mirror. This image is used to produce the try-on and the size recommendation for that session.

Shopper photos are deleted after the try-on session. We do not build a standing library of shopper images. A shopper's likeness is theirs, and we hold it only for as long as a render needs it.

To recommend a size and flag when a cut runs small or large, MAAYLZY works with body proportions - estimated from the image, or entered directly by a shopper who prefers to type measurements. This data is used for the recommendation and is minimised once it has served that purpose.

We record how try-ons are used - which items are tried, and where shoppers move between trying on and purchasing - so retailers can see demand and drop-off. Analytics provided to retailers are aggregated and are not designed to identify an individual shopper.

To render items and build complete-the-look suggestions, MAAYLZY reads a retailer's product catalog - images, sizes and stock - and keeps it in sync so suggestions reflect what is actually available. This data belongs to the retailer and is used to operate their try-on.

When you contact us or sign up, we collect the details you provide - such as your name, work email, company and what you would like to try - so we can respond, set up your access and send login details to the email you give us. We use these details to serve your request, not to sell to third parties.

Data moving between the shopper, the storefront and our engine is encrypted in transit, and data held during processing is encrypted at rest. Access to shopper and body data is scoped to the function that needs it, on a least-privilege basis.

We do not sell personal data. We share data only where it is needed to run the service - for example, returning a retailer's own analytics to that retailer - or where we are required to by law. Any service providers we rely on are held to handling data consistent with this policy.

Because shopper photos are deleted after each session, there is no standing image library to request removal from. For other data we hold, shoppers can raise a request through the retailer they used, and retailers can contact us directly. We will respond to reasonable requests to access or delete data we control.

MAAYLZY is built for retailers and their adult customers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Retailers are responsible for ensuring a try-on is offered to an appropriate audience.

As the platform grows, this policy may change to reflect how it works. When it changes in a way that matters to shoppers or retailers, we will make the current version available here.
